Title: Associate Finance Manager, Client Reporting
Reports to: Manager, Client Reporting
Job Description:
Summary and Scope of Position:
Financial business partner to Leo Burnett Group client teams supporting a portfolio of Clients. Responsibilities include business analysis, revenue forecasting, and ensuring financial related matters (revenue recognition, billing) are handled in compliance with Client terms and conditions.
Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Client Reporting
- Provides reporting and analysis to inform Account team on staff utilization, profitability, and reporting deliverables.
- Partners with billing, accounting and client teams to provide accurate and timely Client reporting.
- Analyzes staff hours against project and retainer estimates, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Works to resolve client reporting related questions and requests across various departments
Client Profitability
- Leads client P&Ls discussions with Account and Operations teams and identifies areas for improvement.
- Develops and communicates fee pricing proposals by maintaining rate cards in compliance with Client agreements.
- Works closely with Account teams to analyze issues and identify opportunities for improvement
Client Revenue Forecasts
- Provides revenue forecast updates for short term and rolling forecasts in line with Publicis calendar and systems.
- Maintains tracking of Client revenue risks and opportunities, keeping Account and Operations informed.
- Develops annual Client budget targets in conjunction with Account and Operations teams.
Contract Management
- Ensures Agency is in compliance with current contractual guidelines
- Tracks status of Statement of Work (SOW) approvals, understanding impact on revenue recognition.
- Assists with Client audits where applicable
Other
- Manages staff of 1-3 Analysts and/or Senior Analysts providing training and development opportunities.
- Partners with client teams on consistent process implementation across all aspects of client related finance matters
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
- 4+ years of Finance work experience considered, advertising experience a plus
- Strong technical skills, especially Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivot Tables, etc.)
- Remote candidates considered with preference for local Chicago area candidates
- Effective communication skills
- Experience presenting financial information to non-financial teams
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
- Comfortable digging through large volumes of reporting for key operational findings
- Ability to maintain and grow positive client relationships
- Self-motivation to work independently
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
