As a Procurement Agile Sr. Manager, you’ll lead a team/pod of 3-4 and will support Global and Regional Procurement in the Global Procurement Center of Expertise (COE). This role is the agile leader who coordinates with global and regional strategic sourcing teams to staff Agile Squad resources for planned sourcing events and ad-hoc requests. The teams led by this role positions the procurement function to deliver incremental value and to accelerate value delivery of strategic projects.
The Agile teams deliver high visibility, high ROI projects across categories in collaboration with the Procurement Agile Sr. Manager, category leaders and business unit leaders. This role will require project management, team leadership, problem solving/critical thinking skills, financial analysis, effective stakeholder management skills, and an understanding of strategic category management, development and negotiation. You’ll also lead a team that that supports multiple projects in parallel and will report into the Sr. Director of the Global Procurement Center of Excellence.

Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Project Execution – 80%
- Own development and execution of agile squad projects and work peers to manage the resources to provide global and regional category teams with analytics, RFX content development, and business case building for sourcing execution
- Determine allocation of agile resources,
- Drive engagement of the Agile Squad members, establish goals/objectives for the team and provide leadership and coaching for success
- Enable project assignments that accelerate value delivery on key sourcing efforts in the pipeline by adding analytics, rigor and horsepower while utilizing a broad set of capabilities
- Engage with category managers and partner on strategic sourcing strategies in alignment with squad value improvement/cost saving goals and broader organizational objectives
- Embed agile principles, problem-solving methodology, critical thinking, and project management tools to provide structure and ensure deliver of value while enhancing the overall COE performance.
- Collaborate with global and regional leads to staff Agile Squad resources based on planned sourcing events in advance, and adjust for ad-hoc requests
- Lead in partnership with Procurement leadership and invest in talent to fuel the pipeline of successors for broader global and regional procurement roles
Capability Building- 20%
- Develop and deploy the ‘Agile Playbook’ for procurement to the agile squad members, including materials and process guidelines
- Develop agile training materials and process guidelines; deliver hands on training in support of enterprise-wide initiatives for internal agile development paths
- Develop problem solving capabilities with the Procurement function, promote an agile culture and problem-solving approach and drive adoption. Implement, and monitor related measures to increase enterprise strategic agility.
- Coordinate and facilitate community of practice activities to drive shared learnings across the function
Required:
- US based candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain or other related discipline
- 7 + years of experience in quantitative and/or business skill such as Procurement Analytics, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Strategic Category Management, Contract Negotiations
- 3+ years leading high performing teams in a matrixed organization, and developing talent
- Solid analytical and communication skills with ability to engage with and influence internal stakeholders and external partners
- Experience building sourcing models based on market trends and the characteristics of various categories
- Experience leading and enabling project delivery for executive stakeholders
- Demonstrated record of delivering proven business results through collaboration, influence and partnership with key category managers and key stakeholders
- General working knowledge of COUPA, MS Office, and other relevant procurement tools and systems
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Finance, Supply Chain or other business discipline preferred
- Prior experience or certification in agile ways of working & methodology
- Experience in Global Business and/or Supply Chain procurement
- Demonstrated experience solving projects as an internal or external consultant
