Position Title: Worship Tech Support Job Type: Contract

Hours: Sunday mornings 10am-1pm Location: On-site

Compensation: $150/per Sunday worked

Reports To: Pastor – Servant Leader Team Preferred Starting Date: ASAP

The Worship Tech Support role is an important position for the Irving North
CC community. This position helps to make our worship services accessible to the whole community, regardless of where, when, and how members are choosing to engage. Adaptability, troubleshooting, and dependability are necessary skills and traits for this position.

The Worship Tech Support worker is responsible for overseeing all tech needs during the weekly Sunday morning worship service as well as providing a replacement on the Sundays they will be unable to work. This position reports to the Minister.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with varied group of people in age, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, race, ethnicity, and technological experience
  • Experience in A/V design, engineering and/or equipment
  • Experience with ProPresenter and Facebook platforms (or willingness to learn)
  • Experience with streaming platforms, e.g. Facebook Live, Youtube
  • Experience with video conferencing platforms, e.g. Zoom
  • Problem-solving, flexibility, and willingness to teach church staff and volunteers as the need arises
  • Employment contingent upon completing background check

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Sunday Zoom worship platform for members attending virtually
  • Oversee Sunday worship streaming services, including scheduling streams and monitoring feed
  • Operate worship slides and monitor audio or video needs during service
  • Troubleshoot audio or visual needs during service
  • Find replacement for Sunday’s not able to work
  • Turn on all A/V equipment prior to the service and turn off all A/V equipment at the conclusion of the service
  • Work in tandem with the Minister and Servant Leader Team during the worship service

INCC is also committed to creating a safe and healthy environment during the global COVID-19 pandemic and as such has set safety practices and guidelines that all who attend in person gatherings agree to follow. These guidelines include masking the while on the property, informing the Pastor if you test positive for COVID, and staying home if you are sick. These are guidelines for our whole community, including staff and volunteers. We will also offer a one-time bonus for church staff willing to volunteer their vaccination status with our leadership.

Typical Sunday Schedule

10:00 am: Arrive at the church and begin turning A/V equipment on.

10:30 am: Begin pre-worship duties (start zoom, slide prep)

11:00 am: Worship begins

  • Start and run the powerpoint throughout worship,
  • Monitor the worship zoom meeting – fielding questions in the chat
  • Monitor A/V need throughout worship

12:00 pm: Stop the live streaming and Zoom recording.

  • A/V stays on to give people time to share community prayers/concerns

12:30 pm: Worship ends

  • End Zoom call when people are done sharing.
  • Begin shutting down A/V equipment and charging necessary items
  • Once completed, check in with Pastor and notify of any changes or tech needs that need to be addressed for the next service.
  • Work is complete after check in.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $150.00 per day

Schedule:

  • Day shift
  • Weekend availability
