A client in Longmont, CO is looking for a Telemetry RN to work in their Telemetry unit. The unit has 36 beds and treats anything heart related and is part of a small community in the hospital to fill the niche for step down and med/surg overflow with a variety of acuity patients on our floor, as well as cardiac cath recovery. The patient mix includes those with pacemaker, stroke, heart attack, arrythmia and those with medication needs. This Telemetry RN will monitor EKG output and keeps doctors informed of any changes, record vital signs, including oxygen levels, blood pressure, breathing patterns, etc., and monitor patient progress and updating patient medical records as needed.
Previous Telemetry or Cardiac experience
At least one year of RN experience
Bachelors or Associates Degree in Nursing
RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
Colorado Only: RNs working in Colorado under a multi-state license must obtain their CO RN license within 30 days of establishing residency, i. e., drivers license, register to vote, etc. Compact to Compact. Upon issuance of a new multistate license, the former license is inactivated
BLS from the American Heart Association required
NIHSS withing 6 months of hire
