Business Manager
We are looking for an experienced Business Manager to lead and oversee the work of employees in our company. You will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency of business operations as well as setting strategic goals for the future.
They will be a competent leader able to provide guidance that enhances performance in a manner which incorporates the company’s vision and culture. The goal will be to ensure the profitability of our company’s activities to drive sustainable development and long-term success. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in all matters related to our various businesses.
Our companies’ business office focuses on oil and gas environmental remediation work, real estate, law and print and digital media. We have over 500 operating oil and gas wells, 15 newspapers, over 35,000,000 pageviews on our websites, and a suite of digital offerings including website development, video production, social media fulfillment and more!
The right individual will be exposed to a diverse landscape of various business entities with nearly complete vertical integration. This allows one to see all steps of our processes from start to finish. This person will report directly to the CEO.

Qualifications:
4+ year degree with business and accounting exposure (note: experience, communication skills and personality matter just as much or more)
Understanding of various systems and ability to learn new systems as our company continues to evolve.
Easily trainable on new internal systems.
Because you will communicating with employees, vendors, and more, you must be great at engaging conversation – talking on the phone, great email and text skills, etc.
8+ years experience (preference given to business administration, accounting, oil and gas and/or media knowledge)
Critical thinking and problem solving as well as Microsoft office experience is key.
Must be able to resolve conflicts and put out fires.

Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll across multiple lines of business.
Review and/or complete month end closing as needed.
Work directly with Company President and CEO on due diligence and data analysis for new opportunities.

Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
