This is a Sr. Advanced R&D Engineer/Scientist role for leading process development and improvement to support new product commercialization and productivity improvement projects for Honeywell’s Advanced Materials. The position will be based in Muskegon, MI USA
Key Responsibilities:
Work on new developments for high purity solvents and DNA/RNA product portfolio
Support sales team on customer requests about existing portfolio
Address customer issues through the Honeywell processes
Oversee manufacturing issues are addressed and input is expected
Represent Honeywell on conference, presenting the Honeywell’s technology
Serve as the technical contact for Muskegon’s product portfolio
Provide training for sales people, escort sales people at customer visits
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
2+ Years’ Experience in GC, HPLC, LC-MS and UV
1+ Years’ Experience in liquid purification methods: distillations, filtrations
WE VALUE
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Analytical Chemistry
Fashion for trouble shooting, team player (international)
High level of self-learning ability in DNA, RNA synthesis
Experience in DNA, RNA synthesis
SAP Experience
High degree of self-motivation (one man lab and playing in a team)
Preparation of scientific presentations and papers
Support of the sales team (customer contact: remote and in person)
Understanding of customer issues
