Group Manufacturing Services is now seeking a Shipping/Packaging Technician to fill a role with a growing precision sheet metal manufacturing company located in Tempe, AZ. This is a multifaceted position with potential for growth and advancement!
Group is an established company that has been in operation in the Vally for over 30 years. We pride ourselves on the quality of our work and people.
Requirements:
* 2 or more years forklift driving experience in a warehouse environment
* Must be able to routinely lift and move 50 pounds
* Must be able to stand, stoop and bend for the duration of a 10 hour shift
* Experience with visual inspection for cosmetic defects is a huge plus!
Responsibilities:
* Operate forklift to move pallets and load/unload trucks as required
* Properly stack parts and wrap pallets for out processing shipment
* Package fabricated sheet metal goods in compliance with customer requirements for final delivery
* Mark parts using rubber stamps in accordance with customer specifications
* Wrap, bag and box sheet metal goods for final delivery in accordance with customer requirements
* Visually inspect fabricated sheet metal goods for defects
Monday thru Thursday 5:30 a.m to 5 p.m. with overtime as required.
