What’s the work like?
You will…
- Monitor, and document ticket resolution system and process; escalating critical issues
- Provide support for various software applications, especially Microsoft Office
- Provide hardware support, printer and printing support
- Provide basic troubleshooting on hardware and software issues
- Assist office staff with the maintenance of user accounts at external sites. Create, update and remove accounts, reset passwords
- Assist office staff to achieve efficient and effective use of computing technology
- Assist in training new employees in the use of all IT applications and resources
- Active Directory administration such as creating new user accounts and assigning security permissions
- Limited MS Exchange administration tasks such as creating mailboxes and modifying distribution groups
- Work with Systems Administrators in performing IT infrastructure processes and procedures assigned to the team.
- Communicate with vendors and their help desks as needed
- Document and update IT processes and procedures on a continual basis
- Ensure confidentiality is maintained in the collection, maintenance, and dissemination of highly sensitive information, including Protected Health Information (PHI)
- Maintain regular and consistent attendance, at times requiring unscheduled and/or irregular hours
- Establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with employees at all levels within the organization, as well as clients, prospects, and vendors
- Any other special projects and duties as assigned

What do I need to know?
You have to have…
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience and knowledge to support Windows server operating systems and Windows desktop operating systems
- An ability to multi-task with a high rate of interruption
- A Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- A strong customer-focus, user engagement and sense of urgency in resolving issues
- A High degree of initiative and motivation
- High organization skills with the ability to follow-through to meet designated timelines
- An affinity for trouble-shooting and problem-solving; strong critical thinking skills
- An ability to understand business/industry and align IT strategies with business objectives
- An ability to assist and instruct end-user effectively
- A high proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to understand a wide range of perspectives
- An ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Regular and consistent attendance
- An ability to observe safety and security procedures and use equipment and materials properly
- An ability to conform with and abide by all workplace policies, work procedures, and instructions

We’d like it if you have…
- A two-year Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related degree preferred
- 1 to 3 years of direct experience in the support of business applications in web environment, database management, electronic mail systems, and operating systems preferred
