The Food Service Worker prepares meals for children attending Special Education and day care classes at the Norwich site.
Duties:
- ·Prepares breakfasts and lunches according to the menu.
- ·Prepares foods for morning and afternoon snacks.
- ·Sets up food servings for site.
- ·Notifies Teachers of special diets as directed by Program Director.
- ·Notifies staff of any food allergy or preference changes.
- ·Receives and inspects with food vendors incoming deliveries for quality and quantity.
- ·Participates in nutrition training and shares information.
- ·Keeps the food service area neat and clean in compliance with sanitary codes for kitchen facilities.
- ·Launders kitchen linens and apparel.
- ·Transports food and dishes to and from classroom.
- ·Ensures equipment is in working order. Works with the Director to purchase of new equipment.
- ·Signs for and stores food deliveries and assists with the inventory of food supplies and equipment.
- ·Prepares food for special functions as needed.
- ·Must be in compliance with or conform to New York State Public Health Law 225.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $13.50 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
