In this role:
General Summary
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for finding goods and services for the company at the best value regarding quality and price. The type of goods procured varies from one industry to another with the underlying duty of meeting budget constraints to increase profitability. Additional duties of this position include assisting the analysis and preparation of contracts and working closely with upper management teams as well as outside vendors to meet project requirements.
Primary Functions & Responsibilities
- Responsible for purchase order processing
- Defines the correct buying channel for each request, chooses the best supplier in terms of price, quality, and lead time
- Creates successful relationships with vendor contacts at all levels of the organization.
- Assists in the transition and monitoring of contractual agreements for the organization’s vendors
- Assists in the implementation of new vendors, including vendor creation and purchase order requests through supplier relationship management tool
- Escalation of complex issues to Supply Chain Supervisor
- Oversees the accuracy and timeliness of all vendor reporting. Ensures that reporting meets requirements problem solving for non-complex issues with operations user
- Maintain and monitor the Approved Supplier List (ASL) with input and feedback from Operation
- Determine if inventory quantities are sufficient for production needs
- Contact vendors to schedule or expedite deliveries, resolve receiving discrepancies, and other problems
- Monitor vendor performance, recommending modifications when necessary
- May perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Must have high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- 2+ years of professional experience in transactional procurement
- Proficient in MS office
- Experience with Microsoft NAV
- Effective at cross-functional / cross-cultural teamwork
- Ability to work independently using all resources available
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $75,000.00 per year

Experience:
- Procurement: 2 years (Required)
- Microsoft Dynamics Navision: 2 years (Preferred)
