Note: This is a Part-time position – 3 days a week. May transition into fulltime.
This position is for an on-site position in and around Elizabeth City. Our client has multiple offices. (Elizabeth City, Camden, Edenton, Hertford…etc)
For the first 2 to 3 weeks you will be required to report to the Eastern Data Corp. office in Virginia Beach, Va. for training.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in Office 365 suite and AZURE administration
  • Proficient in AD users & groups
  • Proficient in MS Exchange
  • Proficient in VPN (Setup and Troubleshooting
  • Proficient in Network Troubleshooting
  • Previous experience with EHR (not required)
  • Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end user workstation hardware, software, and peripheral devices when needed
  • Must be highly proficient at printer troubleshooting and remotely walking users through physical troubleshooting (i.e., tracing cables and walking users through printer menus).
  • Feel comfortable in reaching out to a higher technician(s) on an issue and/or when to reach out directly to a vendor for support.
  • Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
  • Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems
  • Time management and the ability to prioritize issues. (Example: network outage vs/ printer troubleshooting)
  • Take ownership of customer incidents by providing remote, telephone and email support through the use of a ticket management system.
  • Demonstrate superior customer service by offering ongoing technical support and follow through with clients until issues are resolved.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify solutions to customer support requests and escalate unresolved issues to the next level support personnel or external resources as needed.
  • Configure and troubleshoot issues related but not limited to the following technologies: Windows Server (2008, R2, 2012, 2016) and Windows 7, 8, 10 Professional, DNS, DHCP, VPN Clients, folder permissions, printing in terminal or Citrix server environment, Microsoft Office 2010 – Office365, MacOSX, and network connectivity issues.
  • Track, update and document all service work, ticket notes, customer information, and solution steps in a document management system.
  • PROVIDE CLEAR AND CONCISE DOCUMENTATION IN A TICKETING SYSTEM

Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 3-5 year of related IT Service Desk experience
  • Strong documentation, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot wide range of technical issues remotely
  • Prior experience with ticketing software
  • Prior experience with Windows Operating Systems (7, 8, 10), MS Office, Office 365, remote desktop services, and network troubleshooting
  • Manage and support Active Directory, MS Exchange, VPN, and Printer Configuration
  • Ability to multi-task, adapt to changes quickly, think outside the box, and identify solutions
  • Competency with prioritization, time management, problem solving, and strategic thinking
  • Self-motivated, responsible, organized, detail-oriented, quick learner
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ certifications (Heavily Recommended)
  • Microsoft certifications: MCP, MCSA, MCSD, MCSE (But Not Required)
  • May be required to travel to local client sites
