The Champions Network is a virtual training portal created for coaches, clinicians, and teachers to harness the power of sport to improve mental health for all. Trainings related to trauma-informed sport and Doc Wayne’s innovative “Creating Champions” curriculum are available for individuals and organizations. Doc Wayne created The Champions Network with the vision of making sport-based mental health services accessible to all by empowering coaches, clinicians, and teachers to utilize sport in a therapeutic manner.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Doc Wayne Youth Services has an opening for a Champions Network Technology Consultant to provide support to our external training program on a consultant basis. This role includes administrative functions to assist in the delivery of virtual external trainings. The Champions Network Technology Consultant will assist with the technological needs and maintenance of several trainings, including detailed-oriented troubleshooting, communication with training participants, and support to training facilitators. The person in this role will have an interest in sport-based youth mental health services, excellent technology skills, a curious and attentive attitude toward teamwork, and the ability to think on their feet to respond to the needs of others. The pay rate for this position is $18-$25 per hour.
Essential functions:
- Manage technology functions of The Champions Network trainings via Zoom, including (but not limited to) the creation of breakout rooms, screen sharing, audio and connection troubleshooting, recording of trainings, time and note-keeping
- Oversee the monitoring of participant experience, including the Zoom chat function and accessibility needs (coordinating with translators, closed captioning)
- Distribute links to feedback surveys at the end of trainings
- Participate in logistical preparation for trainings, including technology run-throughs and timing estimates
- Problem solve and communicate with The Champions Network team when technology issues arise during and before trainings
- Assist with maintaining relationships with external partners
- Special projects as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Reliable access to a computer and strong Wi-Fi signal with streaming capabilities
- Advanced proficiency in Zoom webinar and meeting platforms
- Excellent PowerPoint, Google Slide, and Google Calendar skills
- Video editing experience (preferred)
- Availability during working hours (9am-5pm EST) for multiple, consecutive hours at a time
- Bilingual (preferred)

- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask efficiently

Our typical process includes:

- 30-minute Zoom interview with members of the HR team
- Additional 45 minute to 1-hour interviews with hiring managers or team members who are directly connected to the role, if applicable
- CORI background check and reference check
- Additional tasks may be assigned as part of the interview process
