What we’ll expect from you and what you will be doing:

  • Lead, develop, and manage the Accounts Payable team
  • Develop, implement, improve, and enforce policies, and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency
  • Vendor invoice review, processing, and reconciliation
  • Oversee all payment transactions such as ACH, wire transfers, paper checks, and credit card(s)
  • Prepare and process annual 1099 reporting
  • Assist in the Accounts Payable monthly close process
  • Be active on the customer service front and be quick and accurate with communication
  • Support the Accounting Manager on projects, process improvements, and workflow documentation
  • Assist with annual financial audit, including preparation of audit schedules and responding to audit inquiries.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field from an accredited college/university required
  • Minimum three years experience in accounting/finance
  • Direct experience with Accounts Payable
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements
  • Experience reconciling both balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Expert level Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, ability to create comprehensive reports.
  • Sage 100 Experience preferred, but not required
