DD&B Construction Inc. Looking for Construction Project Engineer at Gaithersburg, MD

Fast growing commercial construction company in business since 1981 is looking for a project manager to handle multiple new construction projects. DD&B Construction Inc.. is selective in its hiring and is looking for someone whom can fit the organizations culture of hard-work, honesty, and professionalism.

Position: Project Engineer

Location: Gaithersburg, MD

Position Start: Immediate Positions Available

Major Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review and coordinate submittals for ongoing projects
• Attend onsite project meetings as required and maintain meeting minutes
• Attend design related meetings with City or County officials for upcoming projects as assigned
• Follow up with architects and engineers for upcoming projects as assigned
• Make purchase orders and product scheduling
• Responsible for interfacing with project owners
• Write and administer subcontracts
• Review and handle shop drawings process i.e. truss drawings, structural steel drawings, plank drawings review and submit.
• Contact architect and engineers for RFI’s or questions
• Review subcontractor proposals for scope of work review
• Obtain proposals from subcontractors as required
• Create punch lists for ongoing construction projects
• Perform project materials take-offs to assist in materials procurement and subcontractor bid evaluations.
• Visit job site as required and provide reports back to Sr. Project Manager/Sr. Superintendents
• Walk job site to monitor quality controls and adherence to contract documents

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year

Education:

• Bachelor’s (Required)

Experience:

• Construction Project Managers: 1 year (Preferred)
