We are a Food Company that is developing unique products for consumers and food service establishments. We are looking for a Part-Time or Full-Time Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The team member will be working from their home/office but may from time to time need to go to the office. Candidate must reside within a commutable distance from our office in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments
- Issuing out requests for freight quotes and keeping freight costs low while maintaining service levels
- Supervise and push out Purchase Orders and Order Confirmations
- Reviewing shipping documents to ensure accuracy
- Making special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Tracking and fixing shipping exceptions and escalate to stakeholders
- Manage Product orders as needed
- Act as the point of contact to freight companies and storage facilities
- Make sure all pertinent information and tasks are current in company systems
- Available for off-hours or weekends for rare emergencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and/or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong note-taking and scheduling reminder skills, and detail-oriented
- Excellent at using Gmail, Meet, and Google Docs
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Quick critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Flexible and able to multitask
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt fast to new technology
- Good inventory management skills or warehouse experience
- Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
- Currently, live or willing to relocate within driving distance to Broward County, Florida is preferred
This is position is available both as a part-time position (approximately 20 – 29 hours per week) or a full-time position. A set schedule will be fixed prior to hire based on your availability. The schedule would need to be set up on weekdays between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. This job is not available after hours and weekends.
