Role: Solutions Architect
Experience: 15+ Years
As Solutions Architect, you will work as part of a cross-functional team responsible for the leading the writing of functional specifications during the design phase of the project that supports the documented solution design . While each team member has a primary skill set, they are also expected to learn and contribute to areas outside of their primary skill set. The team is highly collaborative and values continuous improvement and open communication. You will serve as a functional liaison and attends and contributes to key meetings between JDA project team, key customer contacts, and customer users, up to and including key executive project sponsors . You will be expected to be a well-regarded and respected individual contributor; possess strong inter-personal skills, as well as proven track record of application development with skills in JDA WMS, distributed cache technology and building scalable robust systems. In return you will have opportunity to gain exposure and overview of report services/report architecture in Blue Yonder WMS system.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
Ability to assess the current processes, identify improvement areas and suggest the technology solutions. BY WMS tecno-functional consultant with expertise in maintaining the BY WMS environmentapplication Servers.
Capable to perform the Rollout deployments, maintain and troubleshoot issue.
Capable to perform the BY WMS hotfix deployments.
Mandatory:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Should be self-motivated, self-starter with clear communication skills who thrives working in a team environment.
- Understands how the JDA WMS solution can be configured and delivered to better facilitate customer business processes (ensuring ability to design, execute, and deliver)
- Setup and coordinate user acceptance testing efforts which will support final acceptance and critical phase sign-off by the business owners.
- Follows up on cases opened with JDA Support Services to help in resolving defects for the customer.
- Provides non-technical end user support during the ‘go-live’ and post go live period.
- Ensures knowledge transfer is conducted with key customer project team/end users to maximize customers’ success (on their own) after JDA’s project roll-off.
- Communicate project risks that may have a negative impact on the project schedule, scope or budget.
- Escalate project issues which surface and cannot be quickly resolved which will have an impact on the project schedule, scope, or budget.
- Responsible for the overall product/business solution design and delivery aspects of implementation.
- Assists Project Managers in planning efforts including detailed project plan task detail (work breakdown structure) based on the specific phase/need of the project
- Facilitates/leads business diagnostics, process analysis and/or design workshops to help flush out as-is and desired to-be solution state and ultimately writes a solution design document to support business requirements.
- Leads the writing of functional specifications during the design phase of the project that supports the documented solution design.
- Is a thought leader in their Product Solution area of focus and can apply that knowledge to customer situations.
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between $150,000/Year to $170,000/Year depending on the experience and other qualifications of the candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
