RETAIL INVENTORY PLANNER

The Inventory Planner is responsible for the strategic planning of inventory to drive sales, manage inventory turn, and deliver profit objectives. The Inventory Planner will be responsible for transforming data into insight to assist the retail operations team in making informed decisions and maximize the value offered to Cloud’s customers. The Inventory Planner will be the expert who can provide ad-hoc support and help educate stakeholders on interpreting the results of data analysis. The Inventory Planner will report to the Director of Operations, creating the opportunity to provide value in every conversation affecting the direction and performance of the retail operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Review demand trends and adjust forecast inputs and outputs as needed;
· Develop and maintain demand forecasts down to the item level;
· Collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on product and sales forecasts;
· Ensure the correct balance of inventory in the stores according to seasonal trends;
· Recap and analyze sales results and inventory position on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis;
· Forecast receipt flow to ensure optimal inventory levels that balance liability and opportunity;
· Create robust dashboards where stakeholders can easily generate insights;
· Become the go-to person if stakeholders have questions or issues with data or data visualizations; and
· Diagnose issues in real-time and provide guidance with key performance indicators and visualizations
Skills Required:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar
· 3 – 4 years’ experience in a retail environment with hands-on knowledge of retail processes and procedures;
· Highly advanced Excel skills (v-lookups and pivot tables minimum requirement) and experienced with BI tools and KPIs
· Experience with demand forecasting and supply planning experience
· Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret meaningful trends from quantitative and qualitative sources
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
· Ability to work cross-functionally in a team environment;
· Must be at least 21 years of age
