Job Summary:
Provides leadership and oversight, and manages the City’s finance and accounting operations. As a senior member of the City’s management team, participates in the development of long-range plans, and oversees/manages/performs duties associated with the finance and accounting systems, and the City’s administrative operations.
Experience and Training:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration or a related field with emphasis in accounting; MBA desirable.
Job Requirements: Valid driver’s license or ability to obtain within six months of hire. Ability to pass a background and credit check with results that are acceptable to the City of Rifle.
Work Experience in Positions Similar or Related to This Job: Requires at least 5 years of progressively responsible experience in finance and accounting of a similar nature and complexity to that of the City —preferably municipal finance or accounting—including at least 3 years of direct supervisory experience.
