Sr. Financial Analyst- Regulatory Reporting, AVP
The Sr. Analyst will engage in the production of CCAR reports and enhance the governance framework to achieve greater standardization, consistency, and sustainability. This position will work closely with the Production Manager, ensuring CCAR processes (FR Y-14A, FR Y-14Q schedules) are produced timely, accurately and are complete. The position has responsibility for CCAR related processes being compliant with current regulations, supported by documentation standards and with effective preventive and detective controls. Additionally, the process includes review of control points, change management, and supporting the implementation of RegInsight platform combined with Legacy processes. The Sr. Analyst will follow the production framework which has Embedded controls to ensure data is reconciled and properly mapped to according to CCAR requirements. Tracking and escalation of issues and discrepancies noted in the production process will be documented for root cause remediation. The position will liaise closely with the CCAR Workstream, Corporate Reporting, Country/Product Controllers, Technology and Finance and will coordinate with counterparts in FRSS Centers.
Support the analysis and submission of reports to various constituencies (local regulators, SEC, Fed, OCC, etc.) based on requirements such as US GAAP, US Regulatory, and local statutory reporting.
Assist with closing the books and sub-ledgers, including passing appropriate required adjustment entries and consolidating financials at the end of each accounting period.
Perform analysis of financial results and conclude cause of variances such as accounting issues and economic events.
Produce metrics to senior management highlighting key issues and remediation status and maintain and enhance related operational and analytical procedures.
Assist in the development of process efficiencies and improvement efforts as well as data quality improvement projects.
Interpret policies, guidelines, and processes and resolve complex problems and transactions.
Assist with the management of one or more processes, reports, procedures, or products.
Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and/or other team members.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm’s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
5+ years of related finance reporting experience
Financial Services Industry and Project Management experience preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on MS Excel
Working knowledge of related industry practices and standards
Excellent analytical background and skill set to understand complex processes, including system data flows.
Able to work with large volumes of data from different sources.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated with ability to make decisions and maintain a controlled environment.
Willingness to work flexible hours or on an OSW environment.
Strong interpersonal/communication skills (oral and written) and confidence to work with different levels of management.
Must have US work authorization, this position is not sponsoring visa.
This role is in Tampa, FL, or in New Castle, DE and is not eligible for Remote work.
Bachelor’s degree in related field
