Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is seeking a full-time Packaging Operator. In this position, you will inspect parts for proper quality, clean and pack parts in boxes for shipment in a productive and expedient manner. This position requires that the operator understand quality standards and utilize certain hand tools.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Ability to work 12 hour shifts (including weekends and holidays)
- Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
- Computer and mechanical ability preferred
- Excellent safety and attendance record
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Identify and separate poor quality parts.
- Pack molded parts in boxes.
- Lift and carry full boxes of parts from molding machine to pallet (approx. 2 ft.)
- Label boxes
- Assemble molded parts.
- Keep work area up to 5S housekeeping standards.
- Barcode Parts correctly
- Adjust case erectors and case sealers as needed.
- Maintain constant state of alertness and ability to safely perform all job duties.
- Work effectively and efficiently with coworkers
- Productively receive information from Material Handlers regarding work related information
- Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
