Job Summary: A staff nurse is responsible for implementing the philosophy, objectives, standards of care, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Division under the direction of the location’s Nursing Supervisor and/or Office Manager. The Staff Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care. This position also trains new clinical employees in office protocols.
Minimum Requirements: Graduate from an approved School of Nursing. Current RN license with North Carolina State Board of Nursing or Compact License recognized by NC State Board of Nursing. Knowledge of current trends and techniques in nursing. Possesses the ability to relate effectively to patients, their families, physicians, staff, and all others using proper channels of communication. Recognized the importance of being a professional role model for others. Must maintain current AHA BLS certification. Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to collect data reflective of the patient’s status and to provide the care needed relative to the patient’s age-specific needs as described in the department’s policies and procedures.
