Barstool Sports is looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join a growing, collaborative Finance team. This role will report directly to the Finance Manager and will work on a variety of tasks, including P&L analysis, management reporting, forecasting, and special projects. The role will also play a critical part in process streamlining and financial modeling. They should have the ability to manage ambiguity and develop solutions to unique problems in a structured and measurable way. The ideal candidate will manage priorities & ensure deadlines are met.
This is a hybrid onsite position based in our New York City office.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare monthly management reporting for business leads. Analyze cost trends and spend against budget.
- Maintain, refresh and build upon the Franchise P&L model
- Perform analysis on profitability, e.g. profitability by franchise, to support strategic business decisions
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual talent financials
- Perform ad hoc analysis of financial data and business requests to monitor tactical decisions and enable strategic decision making
- Partner with the Accounting team to ensure transactions are reflected in a timely and accurate manner
- Collaborate cross-functionally with all teams across the organization & provide input on business initiatives
What You Have
- 1+ years experience in a data focused, highly quantitative role
- BS/BA in Finance or Accounting
- Experience manipulating large data sets, recognizing trends and reporting findings
- Strong attention to detail and ability and eagerness to dig into data
- Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience with Netsuite a plus
