Overview:
Performs maintenance, repair and refurbishment of equipment at assigned shop with only general direction from leadership.
Essential Duties:
– Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
– Work with others to perform, Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), and Overhauls.
– Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.
Non-Essential Duties: Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to:
– Perform all essential duties.
– Demonstrate proficiency in accurately and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
– Show track record of performing Preventative Maintenance (PM) with no guidance.
– Perform Major Maintenance (MM) and Overhauls as part of a team.
– Demonstrate customer service skills.
– Read, write and speak English and/or fully understand daily work instructions (work orders, manuals, etc).
– Model all health, safety and environmental procedures.
– Complete and submit company required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.
Knowledge:
– Knowledge of gas engines and compressors, electrical systems, basic understanding of panel boards, skid wiring, etc. through Performance verification.
– Knowledge of new technologies.
– Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
– Generally understands all processes and systems on how a compressor works.
Minimum Education and Certification:
– Preferred – High school diploma or equivalent.
– Preferred – Gas or diesel engine and compressor school/training.
Minimum Experience:
-Typically at least 3 years’ experience with natural gas engines and compressor.

Leadership:
– May serve as a resource to others with less experience.
– Often called on to assist in training or mentoring less experienced Shop Mechanics.
