HIGHLIGHTS:
TheEmergency Medical Technician (EMT) responds to emergent andnon-emergent requests for medical assistance and delivers highquality patient care, treatment, and customer service in the mostexpedient, professional, safe, caring, and cost effective mannerpossible within the prescribed scope of practice, establishedprotocols and Company policies.
Various shifttypes available, overtime built into every shift configuration.Opportunities to work on a Critical Care Transport unit as well asmultiple Special Events throughout Los Angeles County. Eventsinclude professional Baseball, Hockey, Football, Soccer andBasketball.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Followsand maintains thorough familiarity with evolving medical treatmentprotocols, response requirements, quality assurance procedures,local Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and other Companypolicies.
- Maintains complete and accuratedocumentation of patient assessment andtreatment.
- Maintains complete and accuratedocumentation of patient statistical and billing information andservices rendered.
- Appropriately uses medicalequipment such as gurney, airway equipment/airway bag, IV, splints,bandages, and medications in rendering proper emergency medicaltreatment of patients.
- Communicates effectivelywith empathy and compassion to interview patients, their familymembers, bystanders, other service agency members and facilitystaff.
MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience:Must be at least 18 years of age; some prior work experience in ahealth care system preferred.
- Education: Highschool diploma orGED.
- Credentials/Licenses:
- ValidDriver’s License,
- State EMTcertification
- CPR/BLScertifications
- Driving record in compliancewith AMR Safety and Drivingpolicy.

Salary Range:$18.75 – $23.18 hr. DOE (This rate applies to 12 hour shift andaverages 42 hours per week).
