An Account Manager in the Manufactured Housing Division is a unique role responsible for the day to day client service activities for an assigned book of business. Rates commercial lines policies according to carrier filings and program underwriting guidelines; provides coverage recommendations to clients; markets and negotiates with carriers on the behalf or our client; supports Risk Management Advisors in their sales efforts, and supports the objectives of the business unit.

Client Service:

  • Handle assigned book of client service requests and all activities involved with procuring, endorsing and renewing insurance coverages
  • Be proactive and anticipate the needs of the client and the Risk Management Advisor while providing exceptional and distinctive service
  • Exhibit comprehensive insurance knowledge including commercial lines coverages and forms to recommend coverage
  • Participate in special assignments as requested by management
  • Seize opportunities for account rounding and cross selling
  • Occasionally participate in client meetings as well as Manufactured Housing industry functions

Technical:

  • Demonstrate efficient use of our client management systems resulting in compliance with minimum service level standards
  • Timely and accurate management of client correspondence
  • Knowledge of commercial lines coverages and rating concepts
  • Meet and maintain service level standards and uphold quality system procedures
  • Seize development opportunities to further personal and professional development
  • Support team by building strong relationships and sharing knowledge and useful techniques
  • Committed to process improvement

Marketing & Negotiating:

  • Maintain knowledge of markets and carrier appetites

  • Commercial Lines rating, underwriting and/or account management experience
  • College degree and/or two years’ prior work experience in agency or carrier environment (preferred)
  • Property & Casualty License (preferred)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
