We are looking for a Project Engineer ready to help with evaluation and managing development projects for Integrated Vehicle Systems.
Your primary responsibility of this role is to manage vehicle evaluation, schedule, test data collection and data collection scripting. Reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager, IVS ASD4, the person in this role will support the IVS department’s objective to complete vehicle evaluations in a timely manner and product data for analysis. This role could involve frequent travels to locations in different parts of the US to coordinate the fleet, to troubleshoot and to rework the cars when necessary (20% travel as needed).
What your typical day might look like:
- Managing a fleet of series vehicles and prototypes in coordination with the system and function development engineers in the department
- Manage test drives and trip planning including route planning and logistics
- Responsible for planning and organizing schedules for vehicle, drivers, engineers and deliverables like data collection for each test
- Responsible for the troubleshooting and calibration of tools and measurement systems
- Responsible for the installation, reworking and application of control units, sensors and adaptation according to requirements and specifications
- Responsible for reworking and adapting the test vehicles in order to prepare them for the planned activities
- Responsible for management of vehicle maintenance and repair
Requirements:
- Experience in project management
- Experience in Automotive industry
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time.
- 4-year degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in project management
- A valid US drivers’ license.
- OCCASIONAL OVERTIME/WEEKEND WORK MAY BE REQUIRED (10%)
