Achilles USA is looking for a Plastics Manufacturing Associate’s to join our growing team. The Plastics Manufacturing Associate is primarily responsible for monitoring supply levels for their assigned areas, maintain proper compound flow through machinery and adjust machinery and equipment as necessary. A successful candidate would have experience with different machinery, a mechanical mindset and be detail oriented. Essential Functions:
- Monitor controls and settings for speed, air pressure, temperature, etc. (including Measurex readings) to ensure that everything is running in the same, orderly and consistent manner.
- Adjust machine settings according to specifications and modify or correct settings as necessary.
- Completes “Daily Calendar Report” and other required record keeping and reporting systems.
- Supervises, oversees, and assist in wrapping rolls and in moving pallets.
- Assist roll mill operator when roll mill problems occur; slow down control for speed of mix, change screens, release clogging of hopper, help clean up, etc.
- Checks machine and mixing set up to ensure material is running according to specifications and quality requirements.
- Trains new crew members for job-related skills and quality processes.
- Inspect product for quality. All nonconformity’s and disposition must be recorded and/or reported as per quality specifications.
- Works in cooperation with Technical, in perfecting and developing new/existing production techniques and capability.
Qualifications:
Experience
- Experience working with machines in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- AA in related field preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.

Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
