Full Job Description
WHAT WE WANT
FriendFinder Networks is looking for a (Junior) Entry Level Revenue Accountant who will be responsible for working with the revenue team to complete revenue-related functions. S/he will work with the revenue team on the month-end close, provide data analysis, recommend solutions, and work on ad hoc projects. Your contributions will ensure our customers have the best possible user experience for everyone who visits our web sites 24 hours a day, every day of the year, all over the world.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform cash receipts posting and merchant bank reconciliation accurately and efficiently
- Assist with monthly, quarterly and yearly close journal entries and activities
- Download bank and merchant bank reports
- Gather and prepare schedules for month-end close from the internal database
- Review merchant bank contract rates to ensure accurate billing
- Follow-up with local and foreign merchant banks on collections
- Data entry of customer mailed payments
- Complete bank change forms
- Data analysis and validation of internal sales and merchant processors
- Work with internal departments to resolve issues with order processing
- Assist senior staff in maintaining supporting schedules for balance sheet, budgeting, audits and reporting
- Assist with other ad hoc projects, as needed by the accounting and finance team
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field preferred
- 1 to 2 years of work experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate with no experience
- Proficient in Excel (vlookup, pivot table, etc.)
- You must be at least 21 years old or older
- You must be comfortable with adult content
WHAT IS PREFERABLE TO HAVE
- Ability to investigate, research, and problem solve
- Analytical skills with demonstrated ability to handle data-heavy reconciliation, including data extraction
- Proficiency with Great Plains (or other mid-tier ERP systems)
- Accounting research, reconciliation, analysis and reporting skills
- Knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
WHAT YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE
- Able to work extended hours during the close period
- Have a high degree of honesty and integrity
- Be deadline oriented; ability to multi-tasking in a fast paced environment
- Team-player with flexibility and positive attitude
