Making your next move count

Responsible for coordinating freight shipments, domestic and export, for finished goods, components and materials for customers, external and internal, meeting customer expectations as needed to meet Kalmar Business requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Coordinates with Front Line Units, Sales and Marketing to meet Customer Delivery Dates.
  • Coordinates with Transportation Carriers, Freight Forwarders, on-site Transportation provider and 3rd Party Logistics providers to meet local Transportation and Kalmar Business requirements.
  • Proficient utilization of Kalmar Transportation Management System to ensure Kalmar Transportation requirements are met and Kalmar TMS is properly updated.
  • Train and ensure Transportation providers understand and properly use Kalmar Transportation Management System.
  • Review and support Sales Support Managers in preparation of Letter of Credits and other export control related matters. Carry out transportation and export related procedures and prepare and deliver needed documentation according to contract, Letter of Credit, company instructions, etc. for authorities, banks, customers and other relevant parties. Act as contact point and user for selected banks’ systems for Letter of Credit management. Prepare needed credit notes for commissions, refunds, etc. into the system according to Business Line/Sales Managers instructions as related to component shipments for internal customers (i.e. MAU locations).
  • Maintain activities to meet business needs based on customer specifications, or related information to determine support requirements, working with Indirect Procurement to ensure efficient and cost effective Transportation services are performed in the Kalmar Transportation Management System.
  • Provide coaching, direct the work and training within your own responsibility area. Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders. Perform other activities and / or projects as assigned.
  • Strictly maintain and follow all trade compliance and Foreign Trade Zone laws as set forth by the US Governmental Agencies.
  • Keep informed with legislation changes impacting foreign trade zones and communicate risk /changes to management. Implement internal cost saving performance metrics for management review

What you’ll need to succeed:

Education:

  • University Degree in Business or Transportation /Logistics or relevant experience

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a company delivering similar equipment, working with Letter of credit, export control can solve complex problems and is able to support others and develop processes and ways of working.

Pay: From $65,000.00 per year
