The Building Easier Construction Group (formally Bay Area Shell) is comprised of two operating businesses and a management company. BECG Management is where all employees are paid while they may offer services to our other businesses, Bay Area Exteriors and Middle Bay Homes. We are continuing to experience some great growth and are looking for the right person to develop along this journey.
Bay Area Exteriorsis a leading exterior subcontractor servicing nearly the entire state of FL and developing relationships for growth in GA. We install Hardie, Nichiha AWPs, LP Siding, Vinyl siding and trellises, pergolas, railing, brackets, and other items.
Bay Area Contractors services as a home building company that leverages our scale to bring ease of use building to investors and developers while Middle Bay Homes is a quality-focused home builder for the end customer.
This role is dynamic in that you may be doing work for one or all entities in the day (high-level tasks are below).
The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in construction and/or plan reading. Must be very organized, proactive and detail oriented.

Construction Estimator Level 1 has Responsibilities for Bay Area Exteriors
Include:
· Prepare siding and other exterior project estimates by gathering proposals, onsite inspections, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
· Demonstrate time management to keep bid Schedule on track
· Attend weekly process and product knowledge training
· Perform all quantity take-offs using estimating software
· Daily reporting of productivity tasks
· Perform peer review of bid takeoffs as quality control for your peers
· Prepare and issue RFI’s
· Develop project manuals in collaboration with the Commercial Project Manager and/or Commercial Operations Manager
Job brief
Estimators should be the experts in their field and the “go-to” person for questions related to project quantities. An Estimator has a primary focus on all things bid related. Estimators are highly respected and integral team members because of their in-depth knowledge of project specifications; someone the operations can rely on to be timely, accurate, and ready to assist in whatever capacity is needed. Takeoffs will be performed using our estimating software. Estimators collaborate with all functions of the company to effectively execute projects from the bid stage through procurement.
Requirements
· Experience as an estimator (preferred)
· Experience with siding or construction preferred
· Able to change target focus to meet strict deadlines
· Ability to understand technical specifications of material and equipment
· Detail-oriented. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
· Well-organized with flexibility to changing priorities
· Takes initiative in ones’ own development and learning
· Ability to work effectively individually and with a team

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
