Operations Assistant plays an important role in providing support to the many systems and procedures that have been put in place at Purpose Prep. The role of the Operations
Assistant is critical to ensuring that no instructional time is lost in the school.

Responsibilities
Nutrition

  • Responsible for the daily set-up and distribution of all student meals including breakfast & lunch distribution
  • Assists with daily meal delivery and product organization
  • Assists teachers with distributing and collecting of school data for student meal trackers on DeansList

Daily School Operations/Facility Maintenance

  • Monitors Slack messaging system to provide support needed throughout school
  • Assists with any school spills or accidents when the day porter is occupied with other cleanups
  • Assists with scholar injury/illness if nurse is not onsite
  • Executes daily student meal service: breakfast & lunch
  • Serve as bus monitor
  • Supports with arrival and dismissal of students when not monitoring the bus
  • Support curriculum distribution
  • Support with technology set up and troubleshooting (all printers and staff machines)
  • Support with printing Clever badges for scholars as needed
  • Ability to comfortably lift 25 – 50 pounds
  • Change ceiling tiles and fluorescent lights throughout the facility as needed
  • Participate in at least one community event and one family fun day each school year
  • Supports Head of School, Operations Manager, Operations Supervisor and other staff members in operational duties
  • Completes other responsibilities as requested by the Head of School, Operations

Manager & Operations Supervisor

  • Collaborate with Operations Manager/Supervisor and Director of Public

Engagement & Strategic Affairs to coordinate implementation of COVID-19 policies, procedures, and decisions o Help support schoolwide COVID-19 strategy implementation; involves management of inventory supply, on site nurse, data gathering, etc. o COVID-19 testing – identifying testing vendors, coordinating test bulk orders, manages staff and student testing, proper test disposal, test results recording, testing communication (Slack) o Universal masking policy review and input

School Inventory Support

  • Inventory supply needs weekly on Monday.com
  • Support Operations Supervisor with supply ordering and inventory needs
  • Support with distribution of testing materials

  • Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with other staff members and actively participate in training, professional development and learning activities
  • Work to continuously improve effectiveness in all instructional practices
  • Use feedback to make productive changes in performance
  • Complete all administrative requirements by given deadlines

Pay: $40,000.00 per year
