What You Will Do as a Global Material Supply Manager

As part of the Americas Materials Supply Team, The Sr. Manager, Global Materials Supply will partner with the VP Global Materials Supply in creating an efficient and effective material supply strategy that ensures timely delivery, optimized cost, and product innovation for all raw materials and brands under management. The role has extensive focus on strategic connectivity with Brands, Operations, Sourcing, Suppliers, Merchandising, Finance, and Quality teams. The Materials Leader is viewed as a key thought partner to bring innovative solutions to the organization to solve complex materials development and supply issues. The individual will be a key point of contact to manage supplier relationships ensuring a close partnership between key brand stakeholder’s and WWOF.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Support the building of a material supply strategies for the brands under management
  • Act as a key leader in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers to ensure strong brand connectivity and preferential supply to WWOF
  • Manage the materials development team who translates brand design philosophies into clear, executable, direction for suppliers to bring meaningful innovation and market right materials in support of brand strategies and product direction
  • Support the materials execution team by leading the resolution of vendor quality issues in collaboration with the Manufacturing and Quality teams.
  • Liaise with the PSO GMS and Operations teams to develop inventory strategies that ensures service while achieving financial objectives
  • Build and drive processes for improvements in inventory turns and SLOBS
  • Ensure the delivery of annual material cost savings targets, drive initiatives, track progress, and report savings in close collaboration with Finance
  • Lead cross brand leverage opportunities from identification to implementation and reporting
  • Work cross-functionally in the selection of global and local suppliers that support procurement strategies, with a focus on cost savings, and lead-time / quality improvement

Skills for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 7-10 years of experience in materials management, contract negotiations, or supply chain planning
  • Proven record of leadership and accomplishment in a multi-national environment
  • Is a team player and has demonstrated ability to collaborate across distances and organization lines
  • Experience in handling a complex business issues involving various stakeholders
  • Flexibility to travel globally
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills. Previous experience supervising/managing employees required.
  • Excellent analytical and negotiation skills and ability to influence. Facilitation skills and strong decision-making acumen required.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $95,000.00 – $130,000.00 per year
