This role is the perfect fit for a strong sales leader who has a passion for excellence. Our Sales and Marketing Director leads by example, helps drive a positive culture, and is responsible for developing, coordinating, directing, and administering Skyline’s sales and marketing program.
What you’ll do:
- Provide supervision and support department team members through training, coaching and motivational techniques to perform to their highest level in achieving the sales and occupancy goals of the community.
- Participate in sales and marketing activities and provides the tools necessary for the success of each team member.
- Maintain lead tracking system/CRM, and keep accurate tracking records on all leads and prospects.
- Supervise all members of the Marketing/Sales department including coordinating and approving time off, conducting performance evaluations, counseling, and directing and managing the workflow for the department.
- Meet or exceed personal sales targets and drive the success of team bonus.
- Develop market analysis to determine competitive environment and makes recommendations on pricing and programs that are in line with Skyline’s market position.
- Assist in the development of the strategic Sales and Marketing plan and budget that helps Skyline secure and maintain high occupancy (at budgeted census or above) and is on point with Skyline’s brand image.
- Ensure that public information and media (website, social media, advertising, brochures, information packets, etc.,) describing the services provided in the community are accurate, up to date, and meets branding guidelines. Maintains adequate supply of printed materials.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- B.S. in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five years of sales experience, experience in senior housing or lifestyle products/services a plus.
- Experience and history successfully selling lifestyle products or services to affluent consumers.
- Strong communicator and relationship builder. This position will regularly speak with a variety of families, prospective residents and referral sources.
- Demonstrated ability to advance prospects towards a decision by employing effective follow up strategies through customer discovery, value proposition, home visits, emotional connection, phone calls, tours and other face to face opportunities.
- Data driven approach and knowledgeable about key success drivers for sales: conversation ratios, leads costs, customer acquisition cost, etc.
- Record of successful CRM system usage including but not limited to leads analysis, sales trends analysis and customer origin analysis.
- Deep product knowledge of senior living or demonstrable record of accomplishment of acquiring significant product knowledge in short amount of time.
- Must be intrinsically motivated and driven for success.
