POSITION SUMMARY
Bold’s Operations Fellowship is a highly-selective, school-based training program that empowers aspiring operations leaders with the training, skills, and experiences needed to be highly effective in the role. Ideal candidates are those who hold a commitment to improving educational outcomes in traditionally underserved communities and believe that building world-class schools depends on delivering operational excellence from the start.
As an Operations Fellow at Bold Charter School, you will be part of a mission-driven and outcomes-oriented organization. You will work alongside a growing team that is committed to building a strong sense of community, and to ensuring that Bold’s school environment is immaculate, safe, beautiful, and one that promotes high levels of learning.
The Operations Fellowship provides strategic support over the course of two years. In the first year you join the team as a Fellow, where you are immersed in all aspects of school operations and take on increased levels of responsibility as you develop in the role. In the second year, based on individual development and performance, you begin to specialize in a particular area (school operations, budgeting and financial management, facilities and real estate, communications and community engagement) as an Operations Associate. Operations Fellows receive regular coaching and feedback, are eligible for tuition support toward a Master’s degree in a related field, and have opportunities to grow into transformative leaders within the organization.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Supporting all aspects of school operations, including: student enrollment and records, communications, community relations, facilities, health and safety, transportation, meal service, technology, procurement, data management, and event logistics
- Implementing systems and processes that support the effective daily operation of the school
- Managing competing priorities, communicating regularly and effectively with stakeholders, and demonstrating a high level of ownership and accountability
- Ensuring a high level of detail in all areas of responsibility
- Engaging in regular professional development and coaching; demonstrating a commitment to professional growth in the role and as a member of the team
- Contributing to a school environment that is joyful, engaging, and rigorous, and in which students love learning
- Modeling Bold’s core values and building a positive student and team culture across the school
- Demonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excel

Compensation
The starting salary for 2022-23 operations fellows is $75,000 annually and includes a full benefits package. Salary is commensurate with experience, and fellows are eligible for a performance-based bonus of up to 10% of their base salary.
