Requirements:
– Associates’ or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent of experience may be considered
– Preferred bilingual in Hmong
– 2 yrs experience in customer service or customer service relations or combination of customer service/customer service relations, leadership, transportation and/or driving experience required.
Summary:
Duties/Responsibilities:
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following fundamental duties:
– Transportation coordinator handles all aspects of arranging school busses for K-12 students, after school activities, sports, and field trips, etc.
– Functions as part of the administrative support team to support main office daily activities, school functions, and events.
– Must be able to work in fast paced environment. Excellent communication skills.
– Communicates information and instructions to staff (e.g. schedules, route changes, road conditions/detours, emergencies, etc.)
– Work with staff to ensure an accident-free record
– Work with Dean of Student from start and end times to ensure efficient and timely deliveries of students to and from school.
– Work closely with all building administrators to resolve operational problems in transportation
– Communicate information and changes to parents as needed
– Automate robo calls in regards to late busses
Other duties as assigned:
– Provide support and backup for all main office team members as necessary
– Perform other school related duties as assigned by supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
– Knowledge of transportation industry practices/operations preferred
– Knowledge of, and trained in, the use of school bus safety equipment, two-way radio, emergency reflectors, and fire extinguishers.
– Familiarity with Microsoft Office
– Two-way radio
– Ability to lead others and work well with others.
– Ability to work in high-pressure situations.
– Ability to multiple tasks
– Maintain a good working relationship with parents and school district personnel.
Work Environment/Conditions:
– Operate standard equipment (computer, fax machine, telephone, copier machines, etc.)
– Complete additional job requirements that support and enhance teaching and learning, such as appropriate participation in professional development and training sessions; off-campus sessions, etc.
– Fast pace office environment: Ability to work 40 hours
– Frequent keyboarding which calls for repetitive motion and rapid eye movements
– Frequent use of the telephone: ability to sit for extended periods of time: ability to push, reach, or bend
Other Information:
– Transcript – Unofficial transcripts are accepted at the time of hire. You must submit official transcripts within 30 days of your start date. Formal credential evaluation is required for post-secondary education completed outside of the United States. Criminal Background Investigation and Reference Checks – Reference checks and a criminal background investigation will be completed as a condition of hire for all new employees and for former employees who have not been employed by the District for more than six months.
